What To Expect

Day 1: Hue Arrival – Food Tour

                           

Arrive at Phu Bai Airport, where our guide and driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. Begin the tour by crossing the historic Truong Tien Bridge over the Perfume River. Visit famous local restaurants to taste Hue’s traditional dishes like Banh Khoai (Hue Pancake) and Nem Lui (Grilled Pork Rolled with Rice Papers), while learning about their origins from your guide. Explore Dong Ba Market, where you can observe the local daily life and capture great photos. Continue to Kim Long village to visit a local family who will demonstrate how to make popular Hue specialties such as Banh Loc (Filter Tapioca Dumplings), Banh Beo (Small Steamed Rice Dumplings with Shrimps), Banh Nam (Steamed Flat Rice Dumplings), and Ram It (Sticky Rice Dumplings on Fried Dumplings). You’ll also get to try making and tasting these dishes. End the tour with Che (Sweet Soup), a well-loved Hue dessert. Return to your hotel and overnight in Hue.

Day 2: Hue City Tour

After breakfast, begin a full-day tour of Hue, the former capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty, which ruled from 1802 to 1945. The first stop is the Imperial Citadel, where you’ll gain insight into the beauty of Vietnamese royal architecture and culture. Next, enjoy a scenic dragon boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s most famous landmarks. Situated on the riverbank, the pagoda showcases traditional Hue architecture and is known for its historical significance, especially the 1963 self-immolation of Buddhist monk Thich Quang Duc in protest against the government.

The tour continues with visits to the royal tombs of King Minh Mang and King Khai Dinh, two of the most beautiful examples of Nguyen dynasty architecture. After a day of exploring Hue’s rich history and culture, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Hue.

Day 3: Hue – Da Nang City Tour

After breakfast, our driver and tour guide will pick you up and drive to Da Nang. The first stop is Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountain), where you can explore impressive natural caves, admire intricate sculptures, enjoy panoramic views from the mountain’s peak, and visit ancient pagodas. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afterward, drive along the scenic Hoang Sa – Truong Sa coastal road to Son Tra Peninsula and visit Linh Ung Pagoda, home to Vietnam’s tallest Lady Buddha Statue, where you can take in the peaceful surroundings and pray for good fortune. Next, explore the Museum of Cham Sculpture, which houses the most complete collection of rare artifacts from the ancient Cham civilization. In the afternoon, visit Han Market, one of Da Nang’s oldest traditional markets, famous for its fresh seafood, local specialties, and vibrant shopping scene. After exploring Da Nang, continue the journey to Hoi An, check in to your hotel, and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 4: Hoi An City Tour

After breakfast, begin the day at Hoi An Silk Village, where over 40 ancient mulberry trees are preserved. Visit traditional houses and learn about sericulture (silk farming) in Quang Nam. Explore the mulberry gardens and silkworm-breeding houses, observe the traditional process of unraveling cocoons, and even try feeding the silkworms yourself. Discover the silk weaving techniques of the Champa people and visit the weaving house to watch artisans create traditional textiles. End the visit with a stop at the showroom to see silk products and tailors before enjoying a snack in the mulberry garden. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore Hoi An Ancient Town, visiting historical landmarks such as the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, ancient merchants’ homes, and the colorful riverside market. Return to the hotel and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: My Son Holy Land – Da Nang International Airport

After breakfast, head to My Son Holy Land, once the spiritual capital of the Champa Kingdom that ruled much of central Vietnam from the 2nd to the 16th century. Explore the ancient red-brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th to 13th centuries, and take in the rich history and cultural significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Da Nang. In the afternoon, our driver will transfer you to Da Nang International Airport for your departure. End of services.
